Charging my android tablet

I have an Android tablet 8" but every time I charge it, it won't stay charged. I even thought I was putting the plug in the wrong hole, as there are two of them, but neither has changed things. There is a little red icon with an x on it in the right upper side if that means anything, I assume it means no charge. Can anyone help me please. Thanks.

If the tablet is being charged, the screen will display some text like "charging" and the battery level will increase every several minutes.

My Leveno 10" tablet won't get charged once a while, the battery level stays at the same, say 21%. I unplugged then plugged again for several times, finally it will work. Some people in this forum say cleaning the connector might help.

Thanks for your help. Now a few other questions. My tablet has two holes, I assume one for a headset and the other for charging, but I can't remember which is which. There are also USB plugs. Do you know if it can be charged in a USB plug? Or maybe I have to reset it and start all over?

My tablet does not have a USB plug. It has a docking connector for connecting to the power outlet or the USB port of a computer.

If yours has a USB plug, I assume it can charge. For telling the difference between the two holes, it should be easy. It should have a small icon near the hole telling its purpose and the two holes won't be identical. You can also check your printed manual or download one copy for the manufacturer then look it up.

Hope this helps.
