charging port board

My charging port fried. I ordered a new charging port flex board and when I power it up it says board not supported install correct board to power up phone. I bought another one for ATT and get the same thing.
I got another one on order and I hope this one works. Does anybody have the same issue and what did you do to fix it?

So your phone won't power up ?

It powers up fine when I have the original charging port flex board. But installing a new flex board in the bottom piece is when I get the message

Sorry I weren't clear in the previous post.

What happens when you see the message? Does the phone give you the possibility to bypass the message and start the phone normally?

No I didn't see that option. I know different carriers have different G5 phones, so I'm hoping the new board will work.

I just tried my 3rd charger board and I get the same dam thing, please insert a compatible module. This is the last LG phone I buy!

The module seems to have a controller, maybe it has to do with the Quick charge feature and contains an unique ID.

I have no idea, my G4 Note doesn't support quick charge so it won't be a problem.

Can you make a factory reset after installing the board?

I'd rather not do a factory reset. I got way to much stuff on it. It's a good thing I can replace the batteries, otherwise I would have had to get a new phone. I'm going to a repair shop today and maybe they know something. Also I have a new bottom piece on order from China. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath on it working. I could just send it back to LG for repair but they'll have it for about 2 weeks. I can't wait that long.

Make sure you have all your data backed up before sending it in.
