Charging Question

Will the Pixel C charge while it's still on? My Galaxy Tab 10.1 would gain battery if I plugged it in and, for example, read my book for a couple hours. This one I had plugged in over night and when I opened it back up it was nearly drained. It was sitting by itself untouched all that time, but didn't charge.

Does the MTP/Charging option only show up when you connect a data cable? I can't find it in the menus. It's a serious deficiency in the newer versions of Android that you have to specify.

Yes it charges when plugged in and on.

Except it doesn't always. There are times when you hook the power plug in and it charges for a few seconds and then stops. According to Google, you have to unplug the charger from the wall and the tablet and wait 30 seconds to "reset it"

I have to say that this really sucks balls that you can plug the charger in and it won't always charge. This has happened both with the Tablet on and off.
