Charging the new GS3

Does anyone know how long should it take to charge the battery of the brand new GS3? I have received the phone this afternoon through FedEx. I have been charging the phone for more than an hour already, but I still cannot turn the phone on. All I am seeing is the green battery meter which is almost full. Any suggestion?

The phone comes already with about 40% charged, you should be able to turn it on even without charging. What you are seeing is the "off-mode" charging icon. Hold the power button longer and the phone should turn on. Otherwise, remove the phone from the charger and turn it on.

usually i think 2-4 hours will do you 100%, or if your at 0% as you think charge it for 15 min, then unplug, turn it on, load it all, then plug it again....
