i updated my android phone to 2.3 but it turns out it was for the phone with wifi so first time i booted up the phone it worked but then froze

took he ages to find but i have found the rom but its not .nbo file its is a bunch of .img files

how would i go about installing them to the phone?

*.IMG normally is a custom recovery image, not a ROM. ROMs almost always end in *.zip and you boot into recovery to flash them.

it was in a zip file then i unzipped it it had the img files and windows .exe to install the driver for the phone

That's something Chinese, a fake Nokia E72 with Android. Which means I don't think you're going to be able to do much with it. What happens if you run the Windows .EXE you've got with the phone connected to your PC?

it opens an app to flash the phone but never finds the phone connected to the pc
