Hi All,
I'm looking for the cheapest 5-inch+ screen Android phone on the (UK) market.
My grandather has macular degeneration which has left him with increasingly poor eyesight. He also has very poor hearing, so voice-solutions are not much help. All he really needs to do is to call one of 5-10 numbers every now and then - anything else is surpurflous.
The best solution I've found so far is a piece of software called Georgie. I've tried him on a Galaxy Ace and he needs a magnifying glass to make out the names in the phone book. Then I tried him on my Galaxy S2 and he just about managed to read the contacts without assistance. I think a Galaxy Note with Georgie would be perfect, but we'd rather not pay loads for functionality he doesn't need. I don't need a powerful processor or even a high-res screen, it just has to be really big and Android.
I'm primarily just looking for the cheapest big-screen phone (available in the UK), but if you have other software or solutions you'd like to suggest I'll be interested in hearing them.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
