Need ideas.
Our phones that we use regularly won't work (for one thing they are CDMA and the trip we are planning now will need GSM).
I was thinking of buying the cheapest unlocked global-ready phone I can find. I see that Verizon offers a month-to-month global plan--does anyone know if that applies to non-Verizon customers?
Any other ideas? All will be welcome
Trip we are planning now is Beijing to Moscow (or maybe Vladivostock to Moscow) via rail, if that makes a difference, but what I am looking for is something that can be activated when needed and sleep happily in a drawer when not.
