Check for Desktop Icons

Even though I only use about ten apps frequently and about fifty occasionally, I have over two hundred apps installed. I have homescreen or folder icons for about a hundred fifty of them. That means there's about fifty unknown apps hiding from me. Is there an app or some way to tell me what apps have no homescreen or folder icons?

Not without root access so far as I know and even then you're down to file browsing.

And if you look you're going to find such exciting things as GoogleLoginService, GoogleOneTimeInitializer, ProxyHandler, MediaProvider, TelephonyProvider, WallpaperCropper and so much more. :)

'Spoze there's no reason to root just to solve a problem that I shouldn't have created in the first place, especially one that does no harm, other than eating bytes.

Guess I was reading it wrong. I used AppMonster to peruse all the the apps I've installed and darn near all of them do have icons already. So the count I was using must've included the underground Android worker bees that I that I don't want to launch anyway. So never mind...
