I have an unlocked Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7. I was purchased new from a reseller with thousands of customers and an excellent reputation.
When it arrived, it was a little different on the back of the phone. It only said "Samsung" near the top and "Galaxy S7" near the bottom, and did not have any other printing. Other than that it was the same and worked fine.
It is running android 6.0.1. An update was pushed by Verizon on 09/28/2017. I did not receive it.
When I call tech support at Verizon, Samsung, and Google, they all tell me to go to the "Check for Updates" button either under Settings - System or Settings - About Phone - Phone status.
It does not exist anywhere under any option. I do not have any way to check for updates. All other S7s I have seen have this button. Mine does not.
Does anyone have any idea why this would be and how I can fix it?
