check if rooting successful

Hi all, after a bit of work I have finally (i hope) permanently rooted my new htc desire.
Whats an easy way to tell if the root was successful without trying to install a new rom? thanks

Try adding an app that requires a rooted handset... like Titanium Backup or Cache Cleaner NG.

Guess you're rooted... go for it!
