Hi I bought a Chinese mx pro android box but there's no reset switch on it so can't update the firmware so I can't put kodi 17 on it any ideas.

Many of them don't have a reset. How you do a firmware update depends on what the manufacturer has designed. Sometimes it's OTA via the settings, or you download the update with a PC, put it on an SD or USB thumb-drive, and apply it from the device's settings > reboot into recovery > flash from SD. Check the instructions or enquire the vendor or manufacturer about this.
