chomp sms app. question

I downloaded chomp sms for my Samsung behold two and I can't figure out how to get the default texting app. To stop popping up in the menu bar pull down screen. Help! Otherwise it's getting uninstalled. Thanks
 
go into the default app and go into the settings and uncheck the notifications for it. Then only the Chomp notifications will show.
