ChompSMS always running

Hi first time posting...

I have an Eris....

I noticed since the 1.16 update yesterday that ChompSMS was always running. My awake time percentage was always above 80%. I got second update this morning but still it is always running. I have since uninstalled it but i wanted to see if anyone else had this issue.

Since chompSMS is used to receive your text messages it's probably opening pretty frequently. It's a better memory management strategy to just leave it open at that point.

Also, one of the large misconceptions with Android is that open programs are a bad thing. The way Android is set up is so that the subsystem can control suspension, hibernation and closing of applications.

TLDR Version; chompSMS being open isn't a bad thing
