chompSMS: Awesome Blacklist feature!

This app has saved me from my paranoid GF SO MANY TIMES!

Chomp is a great text messaging app, but before I go into all the features let me tell you about BLACKLISTING.

Basically any conversation you have, you have the option to totally hide it. No incoming message alert, no sound, nothing! Then when your by yourself you can just go into the menus and unblacklist and see the messages.

With others you can turn off sound and alerts but if you go into the app the message is there.. With blacklisting IT'S NOT!

ok ok enough about that.

this app is so customizable its ridiculous.

You can change the font size, color, font.

you can chose what led color you want your phone to blink,

you can pick what color you want the notice to be

you can have your phone flash on and off when you get a text.

you can put profile pics on your list of messages.

the chats are bubble type.. you can change the bubble colors, you can change the background to a pic or to different colors.

When you send a pic it automatically compresses the picture so you can send it.. NO FUSS ABOUT SIZE!

it is a free app and you do have to pay a little to get it ad free.. but with or without ads its so cool.

but even with it on, my default message notification pops up. How do you disable that?

Ummmmm just so you know, even when you blacklist a conversation in CHomp or Handcent, the message is still visible in the stock messaging app...

i downloaded the Chomp SMS application for Androids to my AT&T device which has a current plan of Unlimited Data, No Texting, Free Nights & Weekend Talk. Will I be billed for using Chomp SMS being that I have No Texting on my plan?

I bought it. You can email yourself a conversation and delete it. Or save it to your SD card.

As for blacklisting - TMO is usually feast or famine. Meaning you have text or text blocked unless you want to pay for family allowances. This gives you a chance to blacklist spammers.

TMO also texts when they receive your payment. Those I store as backups to the ones I print. The sig and time are on their texts.
