I installed Virtuous for the first time today

The location consent is different then what I remember on stock froyo.

The options are:

VZW Location Services: Use location services provided by Verizon Wireless

Standalone GPS Services: Use Location Services based on Standalone GPS

Which one did you guys choose? I'm not going to be using VZW Navigator. I'll only be using Google Navigation and Google Location for the most part.

Do I choose Standalone GPS Services? Are there benefits to either? What did you guys (and gals) do?

It lets you check both too.

Thanks!!

From my understanding, the VZW Location Services gets it's location information from the Cell Tower, and is not as accurate as the Standalone GPS.

Looks to me like (so far) you have received one response to your inquiry here, and one in the Virtuous thread at XDA, where you made a seemingly identical post. Both are good sources of info., but just going by the numbers I don't see how the community is any weaker here.

Just my $0.02.

The virtuous community has slowed down in my opinion. Probably because of no recent updates, but rmk hasn't needed any as his rom seems to be virtually bug free.

Yea, the fact that it is so slow is a direct indication of how well this rom and kernel are working.

Slow is a good thing.

I'm loving it. Honestly nothing to talk about except when does virtuous get gingerbread and the new sense ui overhaul!!! :P

I only jest, I know it is a general rule to not ask dev's for eta's and releases.
