Every year at this time, the radio stations and shops are well into their xth week of playing Christmas hits... Mariah Carey gets a check the size of a small country.. and Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas time is inflicted on us all.

One of the 'classics' in the UK is "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl

Now according to this article in the Independent you guys and gals haven't heard of it

You guys missed out on some of the greatest talent the world has ever seen!

I have not heard your song before. I can't dance to it but it's on the ok side. I've escaped hearing any of the songs posted in this thread prior to today. I am a music lover. However, most of what I enjoy came out in the 40's through the 70's and I've been in that groove ever since. It's not that all the great music was released in those years, It's the music that trigger great memories and past associations for me. I'm not deaf to other music but I don't embrace it or intentionally listen to it.
