Chrome bookmarks

So I've just synced over all my data from my Pixel 2 but a load of Chrome bookmarks I had on my lock screen can't be opened because it says 'App version downgraded or isn't compatible with this shortcut'.

Anybody got any idea of a way around this or do I have to recreate them all?

Chrome will only save your bookmarks, not shortcuts on any device. You would need to recreate them over again on your new device

I noticed at lunchtime that this had resolved itself and they were working again. However, following a factory reset, they are back with the same error but I'm hoping it will magically fix itself again
