Chrome desktop has a new look

And I hate it.
The entire top is blank, the middle is a Google search bar and my 'most visited' boxes are wee tiny and scrunched up at the bottom.
It's hideous.

As in Chrome OS? I haven't booted my Chromebook in some time, I imagine it's in the update? Hmm, will have to take a look.

The recently viewed tabs used to fill the whole screen. There is no need for a search bar and what is all the empty space on top?
Just don't like it.

Oh this. Google changed its logo to a flatter design. I like everything about it except the recent sites below the search bar. I think that needs to go, and the flatter simplistic look should stay.

I liked that my most visited took up the whole page and there was no search bar. Don't need a search bar, you can just as easily use the search bar/url box thingy on top.
I probably wouldn't even mind so much if the whole top wasn't just blank wasted space. Move the search bar up towards the top and make the most visited bigger. It just looks bottom heavy and unbalanced to me.

Dont like it myself as i dont want to have thumbnails of my favourite websites so all can see it.

You make a good point. I don't like that part either. But I love the new logo.

I just want my web apps to display on the new tab page like they used to. Now I have to find the icon for it, click it, and that seems to be an unnecessary extra step. The bottom used to give me options for apps, recent pages, etc, and that seems to have been removed.

I don't get to the new desktop all that much. In even on my crookneck. Try setting a theme on chrome and see if that removes the new look
