Chrome mobile bookmarks

Just switched to using Chrome as a desktop and mobile browser (Galaxy S4). The problem I have is when trying to save a bookmark on my phone to my "mobile bookmarks" folder. I have so many desktop bookmarks (nested folders and lots of them) so that when I save a bookmark on my phone, one of the choices is where to save the bookmark...and the default selection is always "desktop bookmarks". But when I click on that selection to change it to "mobile bookmarks" (see photo) I am presented with all the folders in my desktop bookmarks (maybe two hundred nested folders) and I can't find the mobile desktop folder because after scrolling down a certain distance all the folder loose their names due to lack of room for characters (I assume because of the nesting folders).

Is there a way I can make "mobile bookmarks" the default or move it up so it's first. I tried to rename or move them using the desktop bookmarks manager but it wouldn't work. Thanks.
