Chrome question

In the upper right hand corner of Chrome to the left of the three dots is a little box with a smile in it and when I tap on it it brings up all the web pages I have visited in what seems like the last 6 months. I cleared history but it is still there. What the h***?!

Hmmm, to the left of my menu (dots) is a box that shows the number of open tabs.
