I have no question, just a little bit of rambling about Chromecast backdrops.
– I’m loving the curated “featured photos” option in the backdrop. Stunning landscapes, nighttime city skylines, tropical island beaches, winter snow scenes etc. A nice feature that makes me want to keep my chromecast / TV on even when I’m not watching anything. Of course leaving it on means it’s always ready to cast some content…. Then right back to the backdrop when you’re done. Pretty cool
- I set the play rate for 2x which means about 30 seconds per photo, much better than the normal 60 seconds per photo which is just too long if you should decide that you like the currently-playing collection of featured photos enough that you just want to stare at the backdrop for awhile.
– I think it would be even better if they could add some streaming music options to the backdrop. (If you think so too, vote for that using the feedback tool within the app)
– “ok google… what’s on my chromecast” lets you view/browse the current collection on your phone.
- Looked at one of the photos on my phone as shown in the screenshot attached. It is notable not for the content but for the number of views.... 1.7 Billion !?! What the…
