Chromecast question

Is it possible to use chromecast with audio only in some way to send to your stereo?

I don't think so. Also, the chrome cast dongle doesn't have a Line Out.

Unless you somehow have a stereo that accepts an hdmi input you're not going to get anywhere...

Maybe you can connect Comcast to tv normally and connect tv audio output to stereo?

Most AV amps have a HDMI input on them, use one of them as part of "your stereo".
