Chromecast & Xbox One

Has anyone tried chromecast in the HDMI input in the back of an Xbox one?

I'm running out of HDMI sockets on the TV and this would be a cheaper solution than picking up an HDMI splitter.

I'm waiting on my replacement to be shipped so I can't test this myself.

I'm pretty sure it'll work with an AVR, not sure about a game console. I haven't played with the new consoles, is there a way to switch inputs, or is the HDMI input just there so the cable tv can pass through?

Just an FYI, I had HDCP issues when using an HDMI splitter.

Now my blu-ray is on component.

Yeah, I've had issues with splitters in the past which is why I wanted to fork out a bit more for a decent one this time.

Anyhoo, my new chromecast arrived today (very early) and it works via the xbox no problem. It's a bit more cumbersome that just switching to the correct input on the TV, but it works.
