Chromecast

I just got a Chromecast and everything works fine except the part where you can cast the phone screen itself to the tv. Has anybody here gotten this to work and if so how?

You should be able to doing casting from your phone using the Google Home app, it's most likely already on your phone as you need to install it to initially set up your Chromecast. Start it up and look in the upper left menu for the casting option.

Thanks. I got the app. I got Chromecast up and running using YouTube, etc. There is an option to mirror the phone on the tv if I want to. That is what doesn't work. Maybe Samsung blocked it cause they have their own version?

Try Allconnect in the play store

Make sure you don't have a screen lock activated on your phone also

Select menu
Select cast screen/audio
Select cast screen/audio

And Boom.... I use this all the tisme s8 plus user

I got it. Restarting the phone worked
