circle battery question

Have the circle battery app for my GNex and noticed when you click on the widget and select 'battery' one of the readings states 'battery health: good'

Anyone know how the battery health is getting measured and what the levels are?

Greetings matty,

I would guess that the app is not actually giving a reading of the battery's health, but more or less a representation of the charge level, maybe temperature as well.

As an experiment, allow the charge to go below half, and then check the health again.

Battery Health often is used to reflect the age of the battery in charge cycles and estimate of how degraded the battery is vs. brand new. 100% is not degrated, 90% means a loss of 10% of capacity due to "wear and tear" (charging). Some batteries maintain a small memory area and keep up with this kind of info in a programable register that can be updated and used by the OS to determine when full charge has been met.
