Clean Master ?

Guys I dont know much about andriod apps.
So I wanna ask is it fine to use Clean Master ?
Because I have read somewhere that this app is not good.

You have read correctly. Cheetah Mobile (the developers of this app) are notorious data miners & spammers, and resort to many of the techniques malware pushers use in order to drive up their installs. I would avoid any app by those people.

Also task killers, RAM cleaners, battery boosters, whatever they call them are a bad idea generally, for reasons described in a sticky thread in this very forum. And Clean Master is full of precisely that snake oil.

So yeah, just avoid.

Android apps report false results and send your personal data to facility in China– do not install
Clean Master – optimizer, speed booster. and anti-virus – Cheetah Software Mobile
File Manager – manipulate device and cloud folders and files – Cheetah Software Mobile
File Manager HD – manipulate device and cloud folders and files – Cheetah Software Mobile
QuickPic Gallery – photo gallery – Cheetah Software Mobile)

... and every time I ran Clean Master it would tell me that it recovered over 1GB of space ... even if I had done nothing since the previous time I ran it.

I use ... SD Maid – remove junk from SD cards
SD Maid – System Cleaning Tool – free version
SD Maid Pro - Unlocker – unlock paid

Yeah I get twitchy seeing the high ratings that CleanMaster gets in Google Play. While it would be nice if somehow Cheetah Mobile's reputation was to be made more public that would be nice but at the same time it's not some kind of secret either.
I don't know how necessary something like CleanMaster is anyway, unless you're really stumped for storage space. A lot of the stuff it cleans up is cached data that once cleared will be restored again once you start using whatever apps you usually use. I'd tentatively recommend CCleaner as an alternative maybe, it's a well-established utility for Windows PCs now available for Android.
