Clean that window

How do I get that crud out of the sliding window (sideways) track? Also, how do I clean the stuff that covers it? It's Venetian blinds almost but the other way. Besides that, I have to reattach one piece that got loose. I would have added a file but it says it's too big to process. It's just a plain boring photo of the top of the window.

First vacuum any loose stuff out.
Then get some SuperClean in a spray bottle and a brush with bristles long and thin enough to get into the track. (an old toothbrush may work too)
Spray the the SuperClean into the track and on the brush, and brush away the crud.
Wrap the brush in a rag and dry/clean it out further.
Presto! clean track.!

@Mikestony has your answer on the track. It sounds like the blinds are what they call vertical blinds. All blinds are dust magnets. I think the best method to clean them is to use a vacuum with a soft bristle attachment. The bristles gently lifts the dust and the vacuum sucks it up.

Not entirely sure if it's windows or blinds? If it's glass then spray wd40 in there and wipe away anything that comes out. Added bonus is it also lubes up all your hinges :)

That is good, and I wish I could, but for right now I'm stuck with these crazy, crappy wrong way Venetian blinds. I have no idea how to take them down and put them up again. Maybe I could clean them in place but I still couldn't put the pieces that came down back up there.

You might give the mounting some close scrutiny. Often the top ends of blinds are contained in a decorative box like anchoring which can be opened to remove the blind for cleaning. Either at the top of the mounting box or the bottom there will be a little release allowing it to swing open accessing the front of the mounting box so that the blind can be removed by pulling straight out.. away from the window. If so, removing and reinstalling the blind unit is a snap.
If they can be easily removed, a gentle washing solution in a bathtub makes for easy heavy duty cleaning. Be certain to rinse well with clean water and wipe each blind slat with a cotton cloth to insure no water spots.
If you do gain access to the inside of the mounting boxs you might look for a manufacture name and then google their recommended cleaning routine.
