Clear Wire question

Just got an advertisement from Clear (with the Clearwire logo) for home 4G service. It appears Clear is Clearwire - if memory serves me correct Clearwire is the one who is "handling" the 4G for Sprint. Now the question: which one has the largest coverage - Sprint or Clearwire? Is anyone out there using Clear? What is your experience - good or otherwise? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean who has more 4G coverage? If that's your question then neither because Clear works for Sprint. 4G coverage depends upon where the cell phone towers for sprint are located. Sprint is going to have more coverage than clearwire on 3G.

Not really how wimax works. Coverage for wimax is handled by wimax partners. For example, Google, Comcast, Clear, Sprint, Samsung, Time Warner, Intel and the 114 other partners each have their own networks. When you get service with one of the wimax partners, you are able to use every wimax network.

If you get service by clearwire/clear, you will be able to use that device on any wimax network. The old saying, 1 device, any network, any service.

So, who has more coverage does not really matter, because they share the whole network.

As a side note, Clear is the worst company on earth. Do not give them your business.

Just visit the Clear forum for 30 seconds and you'll see they are short on praise, and high on disgusted customers.

I would not say worst company on earth, comcast does really try to cover that. Clear as really screwed up the management of the network system.
