is there any way to have a clock diplay on to use during the night plus i wouldn't need to keep turning phone on to check time samsung galaxy apollo

i use it as alarm, when plugged in time is shown thru the night (only when charger is plugged in) and i think it does that even when an alarm is not set ( not 100% sure!), otherwise set an alarm for 1200 or something!
