Root Clockwordmod Recovery and ROM Manager

Hi,

I went here and followed the instructions:

Motorola DROID RAZR - How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery

This procedure is said to install clockworkmodrecovery.

However, when I go to ROM Manager and try to back up the current ROM, it still says "You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed before continuint! ..."

Since that other forum is more developer-oriented and you guys know how to speaka-my-language (casual user), I thought I'd ask here for tips.

Anyone done this?

Do not use ROM manager. Download Droid Razr bootstrap and use that for your backups.

You may want to consider Safestrap which has an advantage over Bootstrap mentioned by UBRocked in this thread: http://androidforums.com/razr-all-things-root/487278-explain-some-things-me-about-boot-strap.html#post3859631
