Hi, for some reason a few sites...ie...Google Play Store have sent me a code and so have a few other places recently but for some reason i am not receiving these codes. Any ideas please what i need to activate my phone to accept them

Sounds like two-step verification. The code is to authenticate you and it's usually sent either as an email or text message. Do you recall how you have your profile setup on these accounts?
