Colorado Springs/USA/Verizon/Eris Droid, am I supposed to be updated? please help

I purchased 2 Eris droids from Verizon 10 days ago. I am in Colorado Springs USA. both have firmware 1.5, everything is stock. Was I supposed to have recieved an update? can I download the update via computer if I did not recieve it? how do I install it if downloaded from computer to SD card? sorry for the detailed questions, but their are so many phones, providers, and different countries all asking about updates this week I am unable to find the specific answer.

you will get a notice on your phone when its available to update, there isn't any preset order.. Just be patient
