Hey everyone
I've spent the last several hours researching the various power management apps out there (locale, juice defender, etc) with the interest of developing my own application.
However, in the interest of saving my own time, I figured I'd ask the broader group of you out there if what I'm describing already exists since the knowledge of all of you is greater than my one-week experience and hours of research.
Locale basically looks like what I want, except it lacks one important feature that I like from Juice Defender - the ability to turn off all data sync and only turn it on once every 15 minutes or so. It might be nice if locale could do the same thing, or if there was another application that basically did all of these things.
Key features I'm wanting: ability to set profiles based on location, time, maybe even a "car" profile based on speed/movement which turns on/shuts off everything (including GPS, which I hear locale lacks). I'd also like smarter wifi management - turn wifi on only when in range of known hotspots, and then turn back off if it cannot connect, so on and so forth.
Again, I realize that there are a variety of apps that I can team together to achieve just about all of these goals, but is there one single app out there, and would there be enough interest in such a single app to merit developing one?
