im getting my nexus one very soon :D and abandoning my iphone 3g:cool:. One nifty feature i found that the iphone has is that when you press the power and home button at the same time a snapshot is taken of what is currently on the screen and saved into my photos. is there anyway that an android phone can do this?

is there also anyway for an android phone to sync with itunes? any app?

Far as I know, there's no way to get a screen shot without "rooting" your phone.

Don't think there's an iTunes sync either.

Welcome to Android.

Just copy your MP3s to a folder on the memory card. Simple and quick.

The screen snapshot sounds like a really neat feature. That would be useful on Android.

I *imagine* that the OP wanted a bit more than that. Yes it's easy to just copy'n'paste onto the phone's SD card, but generally sync'ing with iTunes involves sync'ing playlists and all sorts.

iTunes Agent and DoubleTwist are a couple of syncing options, IIRC. Keep in mind that the Droid won't be able to play any files with DRM.

IIRC you can take a screenshot without root access using USB Debugging mode + the Android SDK on your PC

Elaborate.... do u need to go into adb for this

From MobileCrunch.com:

Download and install the Android SDK.

Enable USB Debugging on the device by going to Settings -> Applications -> Development and checking the proper box.

Plug the Android device into the USB port.

Find the folder containing the SDK you just installed. The location will vary depending on which operating system you

A somewhat more complicated process than holding down two keys on an iPhone :-)

ya definitely more complicated lol. its a feature that i would like on the fly. Is there a better solution if i root my phone? ill probably end up rooting it just like i jailbroke my iphone. A locked down iphone is ok but a fully unlocked and jailbroken iphone is beast.
