Coming from Windows Mobile to Android, a few noob questions

I've been using Windows Mobile for the past 5 years or so, and I never really got turned onto Android until about 4 months ago when I got a G1 at work. I really, really loved it so I jumped on the N1 as soon as I got wind of it, it should be here today! Coming from WM, I have a few questions. I've Googled and searched forums without a definitive answer

1 - Any way to back up texts from WM to my N1 when I get it?

2 - Ditto for contacts WITHOUT G-Mail?

3 - Not really an OS question, but is there anyway to have push Live.com mail/contacts etc? My e-mail address is pretty established, no real reason to switch or even make another login. I have a Google account under the email address I want (a Live.com address).

4 - I know about XScope for pinch-zoom browsing, is there any keyboard app at all that has multi-touch?

I know these may be stupid questions, but hopefully I can get some quick knowledge before the phone gets here!

Can't answer everything you ask but I doubt very much if you can import SMS messages from WM phone into Android.

Contacts - easiest way IS to export from Outlook and import into Google (but you'll lose lots of things like categories). There is a desktop app (HTC Sync) which people have varying degrees of success with. I tried it with my G2/Hero and it didn't sync a thing.

live.com email should be no problem. Although you'll need a Google email address and set that up in the Gmail application, there's a second email app as standard and that will work with all IMAP and POP3 accounts. I know that in the UK, MS has enabled POP3 access to all Hotmail / Live email accounts. I have my hotmail.co.uk set up like this.

Well you're lucky in that you're getting prepared before you actually get your phone. I used my new phone for a while before I started moving all my messages from my WM phone, made it much more annoying having to combine two sets of info
1 - Any way to back up texts from WM to my N1 when I get it?

2 - Ditto for contacts WITHOUT G-Mail?
For contacts and SMS, just use Sprite's software: Sprite Migrate. It's beta software, but it's free and worked perfectly for me
4 - I know about XScope for pinch-zoom browsing, is there any keyboard app at all that has multi-touch?
Not that I know of, fairly certain there's none. Yet :)
