I have a T-Mobile Samsung Behold II that I got from the US, and unlocked here where I am now, in Poland. I was at a lecture and as I left, I noticed that my phone was rebooting, which it does sometimes randomly. I let it do that but noticed later that it never thereafter finished.
In fact, as I have read on many sites, including this one, this is a common problem for the Behold. The boot screen comes on, the white/blue bar at the bottom shows that it is loading, and then it powers off after only a few seconds. It will then try to reboot again without me doing anything, and will shutoff by itself on the load screen. It will loop like this indefinitely.
Taking out the battery only stops the loop, but once I try to start it again, the boot loop starts again.
I have tried to do the hard reset (Vol-Down, Send, Power, pressed and held in that order) and when I try, the recovery mode text does appear on the screen, but when I press menu to enter recovery, the phone begins to load again, and then powers down, and will stay powered down until I remove the battery.
I am afraid Odin will not work because every time I connect it to my computer, it will connect, but then shutdown as the phone shuts down in its "boot loop."
I treat my phone fairly well so whatever the problem is, it is not from dropping it/poor care.
The whole system on my phone has been unstable in the past, but I have always managed to get around it somehow, usually because I was able to boot it. Here, I have no idea how fix this when it will not even boot.
I was thinking to take it to phone repair shop, same place they unlock phones, and see if they have any luck, but only as a last resort.
Are there any solutions to this problem that I have not come by yet?
Any thoughts?
Please help if you can.
