Completely disable SMS?

Is it at all possible to complete block or disable SMS on an Android phone?

This would be on a rooted HTC Magic, running Android 2.2.1 - CyanogenMod 6.

Not quite what I'm looking for.

I want to remove any SMS functionality from the phone...

I don't want anyone, or any app, to be able to send any SMS messages.

If an SMS message is sent to the phone, I don't want the phone acknowledging back to my provider that the SMS was received.

Basically, I don't want to pay for ANY SMS messages going to or from my phone, so I want to completely break that functionality.
