Maybe I am not using the correct term, but I have to believe there is SW for this.

I want certain things to happen with certain conditions. For instance, I want no calls to happen after a certain time. But if the call is from my wife, then let that call go through. Start my VOIP app when the phone reboots. Or maybe if gps sees I am moving faster than 30 mph, start google maps as I must be in my car. I can think of a whole bunch of things that should make my life easier by having this computer in my pocket do things automatically.

There must be SW that does this, but I can't find it.

I use Llama for stuff like this...there's a very nice thread on here somewhere regarding Llama...I use it mostly to toggle WIFI on/off, 4g on/off, volume on/off depending on my location.

I use tasker for most automated stuff. tasker+nfc tags= win. for example I have an NFC tag on my table next to my bed when I put my phone down for the night it dims the phone, places it on DND, switches to bluelight filter mode and makes sure all my alarm is on for the morning. I have another tag on the wall right next to my bed, I swipe it there and switch the phone into day mode.
