Conference Call Feature Not Working

Running a Nexus 5 with an AT&T sim on ST. Three way calling was working for a while then stopped. Called Google and they said it is a carrier issue. Put in a ticket with ST support who said it won't work because they don't support that feature. Anybody else run into this situation?
 
ST has said they don't support it for quite while. Nothing new. There was probably a glitch with AT&T that let you slip through for a while.

Strangest thing, I just tried it again and had a three way call go through successfully. Go figure.
