Confusion with Handcent

Are the text messages that I send from it regular text messages? I'm afraid that it might be multimedia messages and I don't want people to get charged for that.
 
No they are regular messages and you should be able to go into the apps settings and customize whether or not you want your messages to be multi media messages.
