Help connect phone to PC by usb not working?

Hello! I was hoping someone could help me out. Ever since my phone got the ota upgrade for kit kat, I have had nothing but problems with my phone. I tend to connect my phone up to my PC a lot to get pictures off by USB. However, for some reason the "media drive" (phone SD card) will not show up under my computer to view my phones files. I have tried restarting PC, rebooting phone and have had no luck.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Kindly go to your driver manager, delete your phone's drivers and reinstall them from the internet to the latest driver for your device. Hopefully, it will resolve the issue

Another thing to try, easier actually, is to first connect your phone via USB. Then, go into storage... USB connection... and change it back and forth between the two options there. Sometimes that gooses the connection into working.

Select Settings | PC Connection | Select USB connection Method | Media Sync (MTP).

Also, try a different USB port (and cable if necessary).

... if your machine has front and back USB ports ... try one of the ones in the back.
