Help connect samsung phone to nextbook 8

I've looked And looked and can not find out how to connect my Samsung phone to my nextboom 8 android. I've bought a micro USB adapter and connected them together but my nexrbook doesn't read it (not showing up)

Hello!
I'm not real familiar with that tablet but I don't think it will recognize the Samsung like a computer would.
The nextbook 8 is an android tablet, much like an Android Phone. One will not recognize the other.
Not sure but I could be wrong
