Help Connect to Ad Hoc

Hi,

I rooted my tablet with Odin3 but I still see the zip file i copied onto myt tablet to update (the new rom) is still in my root directory and also, I wanted to connect to my adhoc from the iphone and followed How to Enable Adhoc WiFi on Android Tablets! | AndroidTabletHacks.com but as soon as I did

it tells me

persission denied

thus i doubt my device isn't rooted correctly - how can I verify if it worked or if i need to retry this?

AFAIR I rooted mine using a zip file on the SD card and flashing the said file via recovery.

Do you have WiFi only version or 3G?

Yeah so did I and it said "succesfully patched" or similar at the end before I rebooted.
Naw, just WiFi, no 3G
