Connect to server with Files

Hey guys,

I've got a samba server, that I can easily connect to using my laptop and transfer files to. Is there a way I could connect to it and view files on the files app from Samsung? I have an S9, I like a lot of the other functionality, but would really like to do this. I know there's apps I could get, but I'd like to use the native Samsung Files app

The native files app on Samsung can only view files on the phone itself.
You would need to install a file explorer with network access for this to work, such as Solid explorer, which I use with no issues.
There is absolutely no reason not to use a 3rd party app for many uses.

I use "File Manager +" from Google Play.
It has "Remote" and "Access From PC" features that allow you to transfer or view files wirelessly.
I use "Access from PC" to have my phone act as an FTP server when it is on my high-speed charger across the room. Turn wifi on in your phones main menu, and the program will get address from your router and show you what to type in on your pc. It's like magic - manage or backup your phones files on your pc - wirelessly.

The "Remote" function would do exactly what you are looking for.
