Connect to TV

Can anyone tell me if there is a way other than Chromecast to connect a tablet to the TV to watch HDCP content. I have an HDMI adaptor but, while it works fine for normal content, as soon as I try and watch content purchased from the Google Play store, I get no picture. I can only conclude that this is due to HDCP restrictions that are not getting through the adaptor.

The TV is HDCP compliant.

I can't use Chromecast as it does not support downloaded conent and my connection is not fast enough to stream.

I want to buy some content but only if I can get it on a large screen.

Go into the tablet's Developer settings, and see if it's got anything about HDCP checking in it. If so, try changing it.

...and this is why I call DRM, Digital Restrictions Management, because it's all about restricting you, and not any "rights" at all.

Totally Agree.

By imposing all of these hardware requirements on users, the rights holders are actually promoting piracy. When it becomes easier for someone willing to pay for the content to download a pirated version, piracy will flourish
