I fix phones for people, most times I just give them back, or give them away. My problem is I really don't know the droid system that well, and it seems that all droid phones are just a bit different with model.
I currently use a w8 phone and have extensive experience with Iphones.
My current problem is with an LG vs 840. I have repaired the screen and replaced the battery. There is music on this phone I want to save for the previous owner. The problem is My laptop doesn't see the phone.
I have been searching for a couple of days. The first thing I saw was that in order to connect to a pc it needed a micro sd card. So I added one of those. I thought it may be the cable. The cable I am using sees my w8 phone and an iphone just fine. I have gone into setting and set it to use mass storage.
Even if I could just internally transfer the music to the sd card, that would be sufficient. then I could load it from that to my laptop and transfer it to their new phone, without any problem. The same goes for the pictures they want. it had version 4.0.4 and is a LG lucid
