connecting aexternal hdd to the samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition

Hi guys,

I dont have a external hard drive yet i do want to go and get one. 2.5" Usb powered.

What will i need to get for this to work? Or will a basic usb to micro usb cable be enough

will a external dvdrom work the same way?

You need to be sure your tablet supports USB OTG (on-the-go) connection. I'm pretty sure Galaxy Tab 10 does, so get a cheap $1-$2 microusb to USB OTG cable (like http://www.amazon.com/eForCity-Adapter-compatible-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00871Q5PI/ )and connect external hard drive to it.
