Help connecting samsung tab GT N5110 to internet using USB modem

hi,
I have an android Galaxy tab GT N5110 wifi, it dose work with wifi fine, what i am trying to do is connecting to the internet using USB Modem but it dose not work for me. is there any way to connect this tab to internet using usb modem or its not possible on this device. Thanks.
 
well Mike, i want to connect to internet, there is no wifi around where i am living now, I bought a usb modem ( people here call it dongle ) i have internet data sim into that modem and trying to access internet, Dont know how i can do that.
oh i wanted to add that this device has no sim card facility so that i can direct insert the sim into device. it has only wifi and i had been connecting this using my Mobile Wifi router so far which i dont have with me any more.

I think you would need to follow "step 3"in this thread in order to let apps see the usb as a source of internet signal

but it needs your device to be rooted and have busybox installed..in any case, I'm not sure it would work with a device that has no configuration for 3G (depends if its there in the stock rom anyway on a wifi only device). To be honest, unless its something you want to use a lot its probably not worth it (unless you like rooting and messing about ;) )
