Help Connecting USB Devices to Droid R2D2

I need a way of connecting a PulseOximeter to my droid R2D2 using the USB port. Is this possible and if so what do I need to do to make it work. I'm also wondering if it would be possible to get the software for the device to run on the phone (I don't have specifications on the software, but I know it works with windows Vista).
