Can l change carriers with the phone l have LG optimus extreme threw net10..
 
You can try it, but it is more than likely carrier locked. There are many places (eBay included) where you can purchase the unlock code for $6 or less. Be sure to use a service that doesn't ask for your phone. All they need is your IMEI number, which is located on a label beneath your battery. If your device has a non-removeable battery, press *#06# in your phone dialer and it will display IMEI. Once you have the code, turn off the phone, insert the new carrier's SIM, and power back on. You will be prompted to enter the code; do so, and DONE.

Another thought, if you are still a Net10 customer
